Owner, Trainer, Instructor, Head IEA Coach
Jamie has been around horses since the age of 3 and has been competing in eventing since the age of 10. She excels in introducing both horses and riders to the discpline of eventing in a fun and safe way. After working at multiple farms and managing the property that is now JC Eventing for 3 years, she fulfilled her lifelong dream of operating her own boarding and training facility in March of 2017.
Jamie currently competes her two event horses at the Training level of eventing and is currently working to obtain her USDF bronze medal on her dressage horse. She has cliniced with prominent eventers such as Boyd Martin, Phillip Dutton, and Sinead Halpin as well as Grand Prix dressage rider Luis Reteguiz-Denizard and continues to take every opportunity she can get to further her education. She is currently pursuing both her ICP certification through the United States Eventing Association and her United States Dressage Federation certification. Jamie is also the coach of a local collegiate IHSA team.
Jamie teaches intermediate to advanced lessons and is the head coach of our IEA team. She also manages the day to day operations of the facility and, in addition to her equine experience, holds a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Small Business Management and a minor in Marketing so she is familiar with both the business and horse aspects of the industry.
Instructor, Assistant IEA Coach
Shannon's passion for riding started young; she has been riding since the age of 6. This passion drove her to pursue schooling at Becker College for Equine Studies and Equine Management. During her time at Becker, Shannon also rode on the school's varsity IHSA team.
Shannon's riding background has primarily been in the equitation and hunters, but she has started to explore eventing more with her horse, Stormy. Shannon teaches children from the beginner to intermediate level and her previous experience working with kids helps her to introduce her students to riding in a fun and safe way. She is also the assistant coach of our IEA team.
