Due to the altered schedule for IEA this year due to COVID-19 concerns we have opted out of participating in the 2020-2021 season. We hope to be back at it for next season and in place of IEA we are creating our own show team to compete at winter schooling shows from November-April. If interested, please visit our Show Teams page!

The Interscholastic Equestrian Association, or IEA, provides riders in elementary school (grades 4-5), middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) a unique opportunity to ride and show  without the expense of owning their own horse. Riders compete in hunt seat classes on the flat and over fences on unknown horses selected by random draw at multiple local shows over the show season. The IEA season runs September through April.

Participation in IEA is a great way for riders to gain valuable experience riding many different kinds of horses, get an introduction into horse showing without many common horse show expenses, and have an opportunity to be a part of a team.

IEA riders are not required to be regular students at JC Eventing to participate on our teams, they are only required to atted our team practices. There are a wide range of classes offered by IEA, so if you can walk and trot, then there is a class for you!

Prices for IEA participation can be found below:

Team practices: $35

Show entry fees: $80/show for flat + fences, $40/show for flat only

Coaching fees: $90/show for flat + fences, $70 for flat only

Please contact us if you are interested in joining our team! Riders may join IEA at any point in the season.
